STRIAGHT OUTTA SHAPE                     50                    TIK MY TOK   6

Turn-back your clocks for Daylight savings! We welcome you to Fox Hills Park on this nice sunny day with a day full of action. To start things off on filed # 1 we had STRAIGHT OUTTA SHAPE vs. TIK MY TOK. Merely a one-sided game as TIK MY TOK struggled to find a rhythm throughout the entire, maybe the time change affected them drastically. STRAIGHT OUTTA SHAPE started with the ball in the first half and wasted no time scoring on the opening drive. QB MARTIN ROMERO dropped back to pass and found WR OMAR CORTES wide open down the sideline who then pitched back to STEPHANIE RIOCCI for the touchdown. Automatic 8 points on the scoreboard. On TIK MY TOK’s first possession, QB IAN STARR was intercepted by S.O.S (STRAIGHT OUTTA SHAPE) own QB MARTIN ROMERO with 13:30 left in the half. MARTIN ROMERO kept his momentum going as he found GUS NAJERA in the back of the endzone for a 10-yard Touchdown. S.O.S went for the extra point and found HECTOR CARDENAS leaping giving them a 15-0 lead. With 4 minutes left in the first QB MARTIN ROMERO marches down the field finding a hole in the defense as he completed 3 straight passes to STEPHANIE RIOCCI who made the defense look like Swiss cheese. 23-0 with little under 3 minutes left in the half S.O.S was not done. As IAN STARR was looking to put some points on the board before the half, he was picked off again by HECTOR CARDENAS who ran it back to the 5-yard line and failed to pitch back to complete a successful pick 6. QB MARTIN ROMERO said, “don’t worry, I got this” and completed a 5-yard dart to JASON ROMERO. S.O.S went for 1-point and found HECTOR CARDENAS on a leaping fade route to give a commanding lead 30-0. S.O.S’ defense yet again intercepted IAN STARR as JASON ROMERO read the QB’s eyes the entire time.

HALF time 30-0, as TIK MY TOK struggled they selected to receive the ball in the second half. Hoping to find answers.

TIK MY TOK opens the second half as IAN STARR looking to make improvements found ALI HABIB on a deep bomb on their opening drive. 30-6 with 19:30 left in the game. S.O.S was not finished as their offense continued to find their way to the end-zone. MARTIN ROMERO found OMAR CORTES on a deep bomb and completed the 1-point conversion to CLAUDIA PARRA. 37-6 with 13 minutes left. MARTIN ROMERO yet again intercepted IAN STARR and was tackled by the turf monster. Completely redeeming himself found his favorite target OMAR CORTES on a deep corner route and completed the 1-point conversion to PAIGE OLIVER. 44-6 5:30 Left in the game. With time running down S.O.S did the same ol’ shhh and found themselves in the end-zone one last time with 20 seconds left in the game as QB MARTIN “MR. MVP” ROMERO found OMAR CORTES yet again to put an end to the game. 50-6 STRAIGHT OUTTA SHAPE looked in shape as they continued to put points on the board. W STRAIGHT OUTTA SHAPE.

If you’re into non-stop action with a nail biting ending you should have been at Fox Hills Park at 1PM. THE NERD HERD selected to defer to the second half giving SECOND TIME AROUND the ball to start the game. QB MATT WORLEY took the field and got his high-powered offense rolling, finding holes in the defense with trick plays and bullet passes ultimately finding WALTER PIJEAUX in the back of the end-zone. Failed to convert giving themselves the lead to start the game. 6-0 with 16 minutes left. THE NERD HERD took the field and marched down the field as well as QB JON KINTZELE found JULIANNE PATTERSON near the right pylon scoring an Automatic 8 points. 6-8 with 11 minutes left in the first half. Both offenses were marching down the field with ease as both defenses struggled to find any answers. SECOND TIME AROUND QB MATT WORLEY found COOPER HOPKINS in the back on the end-zone with an amazing toe-tap catch for the touchdown to give SECOND TIME AROUND the lead. 12-8 with 7 minutes left in the half. THE NERD HERD quickly responded as QB JON KINTZELE finds DHANANJAY ADUSUMILLI open for the touchdown with a dart pass that stuck to DHANANJAY’s gloves as if he had stick-um. 12-14

At the half we have SECOND TIME AROUND trailing 12-14, with THE NERD HERD receiving the ball to start the second half on the North side.

Beginning the second half both defenses came out strong as they both forced a turnover on downs killing time off the clock. With 13 minutes left in the game THE NERD HERD QB JON KINTZELE dropped back to pass as he unleashed a deep bomb to his secret weapon BRIAN HEITZER for the touchdown. 12-20 with 13 minutes left in the game. As SECOND TIME AROUND’s QB MATT WORLEY took the field he was focus on one thing and that was scoring. MATT marched down the field gaining first down after first down, ultimately dropping a pin-point bomb to CURTIS SCHLAUFMAN near the back-right pylon for the touchdown. SECOND TIME AROUND selected to go for 2 and converted as QB MATT WORLEY found CURTIS SCHLAUFMAN again tying the game. 20-20 with 9 minutes left in the game. As time ran down THE NERD HERD QB JON KINTZELE found JOSH MUNOZ for the touchdown and went for 2 points finding BRIAN HEITZER for the lead. 28-20 with 2 minutes left. SECOND TIME AROUND took the field, QB MATT WORLEY kept his cool and composure as he led the offense down the field and scored in 45 seconds. MATT WORLEY found MARIELLE WOODS for the touchdown. 28-28 with 1:15 left in the game. THE NERD HERD took the field and looked to score with time running down BRIAN HEITZER threw for the endzone finding QB JON KINTZELE. On a very controversial call the back ump called offensive pass interference on the play. With no time left on the clock THE NERD HERD threw another HAIL MARY and failed to convert. GAME TIE 28-28

LA TRANSPLANTS and KOBE SYSTEM met for a mid-afternoon week 4 matchup. KOBE SYSTEM got the scoring started with a touchdown by AUSTIN NAYLOR, one of his three scores on the afternoon. Not to be outdone, the TRANSPLANTS’ NICK FOYE delivered a scoring strike to WESLEY BOUDREAUX (also the first of his three TD’s). JASON WITT followed up with a score to retake the lead for the SYSTEM. After forcing a stop, NAYLOR grabbed his second score to extend the lead to two touchdowns. BOUDREAUX caught his third touchdown of the day to bring the TRANSPLANTS within nine points and after forcing a stop on downs, they had a shot to tighten things up even more. But NAYLOR jumped in front of a pass and took it to the house for a Pick Six for the final margin of the game, 35-20 for the victorious Kobe System.

HOWZIT BRADDAH                      44                   REMEMBER THE TIGHT ENDS      32

REMEMBER THE TIGHT ENDS took on the powerhouse HOWZIT BRADDAH in the final FIeld #1 game of the day.  Things started out well for the TE’s as NATALIE TRIESTER found JACKSON TRIESTER for a touchdown to grab an 8-0 lead. HOWZIT BRADDAH charged back with two straight NIK BHAGAT to TYLER STANEK scores for a 16-8 advantage. ALEX BOWMAN snared an N. TRIESTER offering to tie things up at 16 late in the first half. On the ensuing kickoff, AJ GRADY pulled his best Devin Hester impersonation as he weaved his way through traffic and finally waltzed into the end zone on a scintillating return TD.  As the second half began, HOWZIT BRADDAH started pulling away on the strength of BHAGAT’s arm on consecutive scoring tosses to JULIAN MORRIS and JOHN MCBRIDE. The TE’s were certainly game opponents as WILLIAM GENSKE and NATALIE JOHNSON sandwiched late scores around a third T. STANEK TD. Just a little too much firepower on the day for HOWZIT BRADDAH as they walked away with a 44-32 victory.
